Elymus californicus, CA Bottlebrush Grass

Confined to coastal counties, uncommon species known from a few counties in the San Francisco Bay Area. A tall, robust grass with nodding brush-like spikes. It is a handsome grass found in both shaded banks and wooded areas, including redwood forests. Culms are 3-6' tall. Rare.
