Eriogonum grande var. rubescens, Red-flowered Buckwheat

Rich silvery-gray foliage contrasts with deep pink flowers on 10" stalks. Mounding habit under 2' tall.  Likes full sun and good drainage.  Blooms mid summer to early fall.  Good for the rock garden and the dry border. A pretty plant, easy to grow from seed. From the Channel Islands.
