An annual wildflower found in moist places, such as vernal pools and seeps. Yellow petals with white tips make a showy, creamy mass in the moist wildflower meadow. Attracts hoverflies, the larvae of one hoverfly eating 600 aphids. A favored nectar source for bees, butterflies, insects. Easy to grow and strong reseeder. Beautiful in containers.
Very responsive to rain, it is one of the first wildflowers to germinate.
