Spiraea douglassi, Douglas' Spirea

This deciduous shrub with striking yet delicate large, soft pink spire blossoms likes consistent moisture and full sun. It's often found in riparian habitats. It blooms in mid summer, and regenerates from rhizomes or from its base after a fire. It grows in a semi-upright form to a height of up to 7 feet, and is fast growing when content.
