Koeleria macrantha, June Grass

An attractive bunchgrass with a rich green leaf color which is most abundant in the coast ranges but also high altitudes. Succulent forage for livestock, withstands heavy grazing. 1.5' tall. Grows in many different situations, including clay and rocky soils, shrubland, alpine, and woodland.
